The Unison Fund is a Canadian music charity that provides counselling, emergency financial support, and other resources to the Canadian music community in times of hardship.

Many members of the music community do not have access to the services and benefits required in the case of an unforeseen emergency or illness. Unison provides a lifeline in times of crisis to maintain the health of the community and keep the music going. For over a decade, Unison has been committed to helping producers, engineers, singers/songwriters, musicians, production crews, and thousands more through their counselling services and financial support programs.

The Unison Fund offers two platforms to access counselling & health solutions, Telus Health (formerly LifeWorks) and Togetherall. Unison also currently offers two financial support programs:

Unison’s Emergency Financial Support Program - created to support members who have worked a minimum of 5 consecutive years in the Canadian music industry and are facing an emergency situation. This program exists to help music industry professionals in times of emergency. This program prioritizes medical support and basic living expenses.

The Slaight Family Foundation Legacy Program - created to support the veteran members of Canada’s music community, as well as members who are coping with unexpected or chronic illness. The Legacy Program is targeted at those who are finding it difficult to maintain an adequate standard of living, are in need of constant or emergent medical intervention, and those who are struggling with mental health issues.

Becoming a Unison member is FREE and is open to all Canadian music industry professionals. To register or learn more about Unison and their programs please visit UnisonFund.ca.
